“Sell back “The New Jerusalem Bible (Red Leather Zipped Edition)” for an Amazon.co.uk gift card”
NO, AMAZON, NO!
I have a day off tomorrow. But I’m going to snuggle up in bed and read Harry Potter. Even though its scorching (for England) and I have my fan on! Goodnight beautiful people :)
currently I’m neither engaged or pregnant. I just happen to like babies ^_^
You are lovlier than lovely! Thank you <3
My url (yourgracelikethemorning) is from underoath, “sweet angel of mercy with your grace like the morning, wrap your loving arms around me”. But my blog title is, yes :)
y u hate me?
every book you’ve ever read is just a different combination of 26 letters
A few months back I asked for prayers for one of my neighbours. Her six year old daughter had brain cancer and only a 25% chance of living. She’s been through surgery and is undergoing chemo at the moment… but she’s been having scans and it seems the cancer is staying away! Another prayer answered :)
My mum’s younger brother, Frank, lives in Australia. And about two years ago he was taken into hospital with suspected jaundice. He didn’t leave that hospital for months, which, really, was a miracle. My uncle had Cirrhosis and was told by the doctors it was so severe he only had 4 weeks left to live. He was too scared of upsetting his wife and two sons, so he didn’t tell them - but he told my mum, and our whole family were frantically scrambling around for a solution. Frank’s twin brother was even researching liver donation. Nothing could be done and the Australian doctors refused to put my uncle on the donation list. So my older sister and my mum booked flights and went to Australia, in the mindset that they were going to see him die and go to his funeral. We were all praying for him, my mum works at my old primary school and she had all the children there praying for him. My mum had been to Medjugorje (pilgrimage site in Bosnia) just before it and was secretly putting holy water in his tea, they were all desperate. Somehow, as a complete shock to the doctors, my uncle fully recovered. One doctor even told him he could drink as much alcohol as he liked. Frank returned to work and all seemed okay.
A few nights ago my mum had a phone call from Frank - he’d been in the hospital again. This time he has Peritonitis and a few other complications. He has been told that “usually” his life expectancy would be around 6 months, but they’re giving him 2 years because of how his body reacted to the cirrhosis. He can’t be put on the transplant list because he isn’t ill enough. He can’t return to work. He can’t do very much except wait to die and be in pain. My mum has asked me to ask everyone I know for prayers, my uncle has been through so much and has had one miracle granted… I think he’d just like to die of old age, not some dramatic disease! The family were planning on all coming over to England to see everyone, after the last couple of years and all the worry. But that’s out of the question now.
Thank you everyone x
Then Stu met me and we went out for dinner. I had a lovelyyyy steak. Now we’re deciding on a movie to watch. Picking my nephew Jacob up from school tomorrow and hopefully viewing apartments on Thursday! Then a massively busy day in work on Saturday. I like this week :)
I would really appreciate prayers! I’m all nervous. I’ll be there in 11 hours, eeek.
Etymology lesson!
Once upon a time (back in the days of Old English) male humans were called weremen and female humans were called wifmen. Wereman meant “man” (this is still seen today in words like “werewolf”, which of course means “wolf man”) and wifman meant “wife of man”….
but at 7.20am on a Saturday. Criminal!! I’m missing the hotel’s cooked breakfast already. Can’t wait to get into work on Tuesday :)
I get to see Stu today!!! 5 hours 20 minutes. Cannot wait!!
I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU.
THIS IS AN EXCITED POST.
I LOVE PIXIFOTO. Everyone here is amazing. All of the office staff are genuinely lovely and will give up so much of their time to help. It’s not called a “head office” but a “supprt office” because they don’t believe they’re in charge, but that they’re here to support the studios. The company doesnt hire anyone from outside (except for lab technicians, etc), everyone is promoted within the company. So the European Marketing Manager was once a photographer like me, and now she does loads of design work, etc. She’s fantastic. She’s told us all to write down which position we’d like to end up in, and in a few months to approach our studio managers and say “this is where I want to be, how do I get there?”. I would love to be in the marketing department so much.
And apparently my branch of pixifoto is like famous in the pixi ranks. We do really well and produce loads of good shoots. If I do good photoshoots then my work can be made into posters, and promo work. They pay really good bonuses for that anddddddd if you do something (cant remember what. its like if you do dead good shoots) you get put in the monthly newsletter. and like if you keep getting put in that then you get noticed by everyone cos it goes out to EVERYONE. peter the manager. the studios, everyone.
