What? A logical, factually-based article from a Psychology publication, saying that the media is making the abuse scandals into something far bigger than they actually are?
No, it can’t be true! It is?
Dang. I wanted to hate the Catholic Church based on the mass media’s hysteria, because that’s where all truth comes from!

There are many reasons, so here is a short list:
He was the third-longest reigning pope of all-time (26 years).
His leadership helped bring down the Iron Curtain of Communism.
He was one of the most prolific authors of papal documents and he was widely considered one of the best philosopher-theologians of modern times.
He presided over the writing of the Catechism and the new Code of...

Today, Lord, I don’t want to pray about all the stuff that’s happened, about the person I was, and about the mistakes I’ve made and the things I’ve done. I don’t want to brush it under the carpet, but I just don’t want to talk about it today. Today I want to talk about the present; about who I am now and who I am becoming and who I will be. You promised that you would bring...

Today I was quite possibly the only person in England to not watch the royal wedding, even my mum postponed her big food shop (her favourite thing) to watch it! aha.
Today
My wrist feels a hundred times better, yay! Thank God :))

I often struggle with feelings of worthlessness, usually accompanied with guilt. I feel like Jesus has done, and continues to do so much for me and yet what do I have to offer? I’m trying to find my worth in God.
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure...
I love you all!
alleluia, alleluia. we are all so blessed.
good night, God bless :)
I'm slightly addicted to cross-stitch
I blame my boyfriend’s mother for supplying me with beginners kits!
I’m so tempted to buy this one from Amazon:
It’s way above my skill level, but wow!
Also, I’m only 22, not 70! What’s up with me haha :’)
My wrist
I was working today and the pain in my wrist was unbearable, so, being the silly girl I am, I took far too many painkillers and made myself ill.
Good news is that it’s a lot less painful, and I’m still alive :D thank God!
Thank you for all and any prayers you said, I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
Let me know if you need anything, yes? :)
One of the most moving questions came from a 7-year-old Japanese girl who lost friends in the recent earthquake and tsunami and who asked: “Why do I have to be so afraid? Why do children have to be so sad? I’m asking the pope, who speaks with God, to explain it to me.” In his response, pre-recorded and broadcast on Italian state television Good Friday, April 22, the pope...

The lovely boyfriend is climbing mountains (or something equally dangerous) on his bike today. He does worry me, that boy!

Note to self: remember to offer up pain.
Apologies for all the text posts.
I am in a tremendous amount of pain, and have been for a few days. I’d appreciate it if you could pray that it’s nothing serious and that a trip to the hospital or doctors will solve it :) thank you! God bless.
edit: I thought I’d sprained my wrist in work last week (I work in a grocery shop, I stock beer fridges etc. only part time/temporarily though haha) but now the pain has...
Book recommendations?
Anything Christian/Catholic? Perhaps written by a saint. I’d be very grateful :)

I am trying to follow the Little Way of St Therese of Lisieux. In particular I am trying to perform acts of charity or, well, anything nice without seeking praise. It seems to be a very human reaction to want praise for a kind deed, or some kind of gratitude. If you have gone out of your way to do something for somebody else, it can almost hurt when they either don’t notice or don’t...

I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. —John 20:17
Christ is Risen. Alleluia!
True love hurts. It always must hurt. It has to be painful to love someone, painful to leave him, you would like to die for him. When people marry, they have to give up everything in order to love each other. A mother who gives life to a child suffers much. The word “love” is misunderstood and misused so much.
